From my own beginning to GASTWERT.

I came into hospitality with an idea for my own accommodation, not with a grand plan. That led to further properties and new locations.

Together with my wife I built and ran living TIMELESS and Erlenbad. At first I ran a substantial part of it alongside my other work. As it grew, it became the focus of our business.

living TIMELESS is the operational side: several locations, distribution, pricing, housekeeping, communication, systems, costs and organisation. Staff and external partners are part of day-to-day work.

At Erlenbad the project side was added. Property, hospitality concept and later operations were to fit together before the first guest arrives.

Alongside accommodation for third parties, we invest ourselves and hold our own units in the portfolio. Today I bring this practice into my consulting.

Before hospitality

Leadership, before hospitality became the business.

My professional background is in leadership, personnel, recruiting, marketing and business organisation. Added to that is the qualification as a certified Business Coach (IHK).

As an operation grows, it is not only prices and systems that decide. It is also about responsibilities, communication and structures that hold up in day-to-day work.

GASTWERT

Value for the guest. Value for the operation. Value for the property.

An accommodation has to work for guests, be commercially viable to run, and fit the property or the project over the long term.

A convincing stay that cannot be operated does not hold up. Neither does an efficient operation that loses quality for the guest. Those are exactly the points where I come in.
